Cure[ate] 2014 | The Beginning

Cure[ate] began in September 2014, and what a quarter we've had! Within 4 months, we've worked on some incredible client projects and can't wait to share with you what's in store for 2015. Below is a highlight of some Cure[ate] projects —

Tastemade
“Tastemade is a video network built for the mobile generation where Tastemakers come together to discover and share their passion for great food and travel." — Tastemade.com, founded in 2011. Tastemade investors include Ryan Seacrest Productions, Scripps Network.

Cure[ate] was hired as the launch lead for #TastemadeDC, and created 10+ "appisodes" for Tastemade's platform, in addition to finding 40+ Tastemakers who were tasked to create 5 appisodes each. These appisodes highlight the top 300 dining hot spots in the DC Metro Area. Cure[ate] also organized and executed the #TastemadeDC launch party, where these 40 new Tastemakers were wined & dined while learning tips and tricks about the Tastemade app.  

Highlights:

  • #TastemadeDC Launch was successfully executed within a 5 week time frame.
  • Video from #TastemadeDC launch party at Petworth Citizen.
  • Currently, about 250 appisodes are being made for the Washington, D.C. community.

Power Supply
Power Supply works with local chefs to create hand-crafted paleo, vegetarian, and mixitarian pre-made meals. Working with an extensive gym, crossfit, and yoga studio network, Power Supply delivers freshly made meals twice a week to your home or workout locale — seamlessly integrating a well-rounded diet into your healthy, active lifestyle.

The local chef network is a unique value proposition for Power Supply. People love Power Supply meals, but are maybe unaware of the local chef talent behind the delicious creations. We were tasked to create brand awareness around this UVP, to increase engagement on online communities, and to reach a new audience outside of their repeat customers. As a solution, Cure[ate] produced 15-second Instagram videos about each local chef in their current network.

Highlights:

  • Video content had an 82% higher reach, and 84% higher engagement rate than the next highest interactive post (status, photo, link) on Facebook.
  • Average organic reach of video content exceeded the reach of the # of Facebook fans.
  • Over 350 “likes” were organically accumulated over a 3 month period.

 

Brands looking to connect with their target audiences through food & drink.

verdeHOUSE | St. Elizabeth’s East
Cure[ate] teamed up with verdeHOUSE, a creative real estate partner that drives intentional development, on the St. Elizabeth’s East project. We assist in redefining the use of space through marketing and programming.

Cure[ate] produced a 2-minute video highlighting some of the St. Elizabeth’s East achievements to date — Gateway DC: an open air market to provide fresh produce to Ward 7 & 8 residents, and the RISE Demonstration Center: a digital inclusion center outfitted by Microsoft. In addition to creating online content to drive community involvement with the space, Cure[ate] also works with the Chef-in-residence Nadine of Nutrition Synergies in producing events for the community, such as the St. Elizabeth’s East Annual Cozy Christmas Celebration. Food is a main vehicle for driving connection and establishing a communal meeting spot at St. Elizabeth’s. Stay tuned for more on this project!

Three Day Rule
Three Day Rule (TDR) a the high-end personalized matchmaking service, and is partners with Match.com. Cure[ate] has teamed up with TDR to launch and grow their Washington, DC market as well as assist with curated events in Boston, NYC, and Chicago. Clients of TDR are well-educated, well-traveled, and highly passionate people. There is no better way to attract this clientele than through curated food & drink events, to inspire deeper connection with each other and for Matchmakers to work their magic.
